  • ARIA Award-nominated 2022 album Heroine, Thornhill solidified an undeniable reputation as one of the most innovative and immersive heavy acts in the Australian scene. Debuting at #3 on the ARIA Album chart, Heroine also debuted at #1 on the Australian Album chart, and has since had more than 8.5 million streams to date. Rounding out a huge 2022 appearing at Good Things Festival with headliners Bring Me The Horizon and many more in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, Thornhill also ticked off some of their biggest Australian shows to date last year, selling out most of their headline tour, supporting The Butterfly Effect nationally, and performing their first ever US headline shows on the East Coast alongside fellow Moshcam alumni, Alpha Wolf.
  • The California-based quartet top playlists of titles such as “Skatepark Punk” and “Emo Forever” for a well earned reason - the band led by Kensrue knows how to create shake the floor. See for yourself, live at Metro Theatre in Sydney on 2 September 2008.
  • Live at Sydney Festival, Sydney. Consistently led by Kristin Hersh since their formation, Throwing Muses pioneered a thrillingly raucous form of ‘alt rock’ years before the term existed. Their extraordinarily textured, tempo-shifting music, combined with Kirstin’s intuitive, dextrous singing, joins the dots between elliptical post-punk, harmonious folk jangle pop and rockabilly thunder. Touring and collaborating with the likes of The Pixies and REM’s Michael Stipe gives you an idea of where they sit in the world. This show from 2009 (when they performed at the Sydney Festival) is a great demonstration of their arresting melodic structures and articulate songcraft.
  • Playing music in the vein of Jawbreaker, Kid Dynamite and Lifetime, and taking influence from pop punk acts as Saves the Day and emo bands Knapsack and Seaweed, Title Fight are the real deal. See for yourself - live at Metro Theatre in Sydney on 9 September 2011.
  • Live at Irving Plaza, New York. Having already conquered the UK with his chart-topping debut album ‘Long Way Down’, we caught Tom Odell’s dazzling live show at Irving Plaza, New York City in 2013. Watch the 22-year-old English wunderkind deliver stirring hits like ‘Another Love’ (10 million+ views on Youtube) as he brings his heart-wrenching album to life in gorgeous fashion.
  • Tumbleweed are a Wollongong-based stoner rock group in Australia, racking up popularity during the grunge years of the 1990s. As an opening band for Nirvana on their 1992 tour of Australia, Tumbleweed breached into mainstream with their crunchy-psychedelica and signed to the Polydor label by Craig Kamber, who had worked with Powderfinger and Spiderbait. In 2009, the original Tumbleweed line-up reformed for a slew of festivals and shows, and Moshcam was there to catch them live at the Metro Theatre in Sydney on 18 February 2011
  • Live at Koko, London. If you know of a more energetic, charismatic and good fun frontman than Turbowolf‘s Chris Georgiadis, we don’t believe you. Yes on this massive night back in 2013 of punk rock riffs, band member debuts (bass vixen Lianna Davies can really wail), big hair, loud music and even louder shirts (our eyes are still stinging) we – along with most of the punters – became absolutely hooked on the high-octane musical offering on show at Koko during these UK rocker’s set profiling songs from their first, self-titled album. We can’t think of a better decision than to take the mob leader’s advice and ”get your fucking groove on” to the dirty, fuzzy and downright sexy musical stylings of Bristol’s gift to rock music: Turbowolf.
  • Live at Factory Theatre. One of the most-lauded music acts in Australia’s alternative scene throughout the 1990s, Underground Lovers bridge the divide between ‘traditional’ drums and wires rock bands and the electronic sounds that came to the fore in the 90s. Their definitive album ‘Leaves Me Blind’ was listed at No 54 in ‘100 Best Australian Albums’ published in 2010. They were very active until the early 2000s (even supporting New Order on their 2002 Australian tour) but took an ‘extended break’ and didn’t return (with their classic early 90s lineup) until 2009. We caught this show in 2011 with that lineup in blistering form.
  • Live at The Metro Theatre, Sydney. The production collective that continues to defy definition with its blend of electronic, hip-hop, dance and rock. Filmed here in 2008 at the Metro Theatre in Sydney, it features a range of killer tracks including Eye For An Eye.
  • Live at Oxford Art Factory, Sydney. Originally from New Zealand (well, we guess they’re still from New Zealand!), this psychedelic rock band is now based in the USA. Formed in Auckland in 2010, they released their first album in 2011 to much critical acclaim (Pitchfork gave it an 8.1). Their second album (‘II’) was even more well received and preceded an extensive world tour during which they consistently sold out shows in the UK/Europe and North America. This show, captured in an intimate venue in Sydney during 2011 was off the back of their first album and shows a band set for big things.
  • Live at the Electric Ballroom, London. These guys have to be seen to be believed. Just try Blues Hand Me Down and you'll be a convert. This show is from 2011 off the back of their debut album
  • Live at the Manning Bar, Sydney. Brisbane grunge heroes Violent Soho headed out on their biggest national tour in 2014 and we captured the Mansfield lads killing it at one of THREE sold-out shows at Manning Bar in Sydney!
  • Live at the Enmore Theatre, Sydney. We captured Walk The Moon‘s first trip Down Under, with screaming fans squeezed into the Enmore to catch a glimpse. Not that it should have come as a surprise to anybody; the Cincinnati outfit were named as Nylon Magazine’s Band Crush, as a Hot New Band by SPIN Magazine and as a New York Post band “You Must Know” (to name but a few!). Playing a short and sweet set that featured fan favourites like ‘Tightrope‘ and ‘Anna Sun‘, as well as a thumping tribute to Bowie (‘Let’s Dance’), Walk The Moon’s fast paced high energy show had their loyal followers whipped up into an absolute frenzy in no time. So grab some face paint, slip on your dancing shoes and join the dance party courtesy of Walk The Moon. It’s out of this world!
  • Live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney. This New York-based indie rock band, formed in 2000, undertook a co-headline tour of Australia during 2010 with Ash – and both bands joined forces at the end of each night to form WASH. We were lucky enough to capture all three sets – and we’ll bring those other two sets to you shortly. This tour was in support of WAS’s third album ‘Barbara’. The album received an impressive 4 star rating from NME who described it as a ‘sonic keg party’ which highlighted the ‘sheer shaggy melodic charm’ of the band. Dive in!
  • Live at No Sleep Til festival, Sydney. These metalcore legends hail from Troy, Michigan and formed in 2005. We caught this show early in their career in 2010 following the release of their first full length album 'To Plant A Seed'. Long time followers of the band will know that their lead singer, Kyle Pavone (in full flight here), tragically died in 2018 at the ripe old age of 28. The band has carried on as a five piece since then, and their first album in 5 years will be released late 2022.
  • Live at XOYO, London. We Were Promised Jetpacks formed in Edinburgh, in 2003. The band played their first gig at their school’s ‘battle of the bands’ competition, which they won. The four-piece eventually relocated to Glasgow. In October 2010 the band toured in North America to open for Jimmy Eat World. In July 2011, the band announced their second full-length album, In the Pit of the Stomach and we caught them in London at that time.
