Underground Lovers

Live at Factory Theatre. One of the most-lauded music acts in Australia’s alternative scene throughout the 1990s, Underground Lovers bridge the divide between ‘traditional’ drums and wires rock bands and the electronic sounds that came to the fore in the 90s. Their definitive album ‘Leaves Me Blind’ was listed at No 54 in ‘100 Best Australian Albums’ published in 2010. They were very active until the early 2000s (even supporting New Order on their 2002 Australian tour) but took an ‘extended break’ and didn’t return (with their classic early 90s lineup) until 2009. We caught this show in 2011 with that lineup in blistering form.
