Live Concerts

  • Live at XOYO, London. This shape shifting ‘band originally formed in London in 1976. They’ve disbanded a number of times over their career but have always kept coming back and are still putting out new and great material. With every album seeming to move in a different direction, no single show is going to encapsulate the Wire sound, just the Wire sound for right now. This show, captured in 2011, was filmed around the time of ‘The Black Session’ album and features many of the songs from it. These guys never disappoint.

Live at Manning Bar, Sydney. By the time we got the opportunity to film these Australian punk legends in 2009, founding member Ian Rilen (who was also a member of Rose Tattoo back in the day as well as the great Sardine V) had already joined the great moshpit in the sky. His energy and punk enthusiasm continued to be celebrated after his death with another original member, Steve Lucas, stepping up to lead this legendary band (who should definitely not be confused with the LA band of the same name).
  • Live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney. These guys were described as ‘experimental rock’ by some which can often be the kiss of death for many bands. To be honest, they wrote a bunch of killer pop/dance songs. Sadly, they broke up in 2019, but this show from 2010 (when they toured heavily in support of their highly regarded ‘Odd Blood’ album) was them at their thrilling best.
  • Live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney. One of Australia's favourite bands over more than two decades and led by the irrepressible Tim Rogers, we were thrilled to be able to capture them in 2008 as they toured in support of their fabulous (and amazingly, eighth!) album Dilettantes.
  • Live at Frankie’s Pizzeria, Sydney. Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the most exciting show on earth – the Young Henry’s Rock & Roll Circus! Folks, step right this way! There are musical creatures abound of magnificent splendour. You will not believe your eyes and senses as we present to you some of the world’s rarest kinklers together with some of the finest libations. The amazing and fantabulous Bar Flying Circus Band was led by Andy Kent and Davey Lane (You Am I) together with Brock Fitzgerald and Wade Keighran (Wolf And Cub). For one night only in 2016, the infamous Frankies stage served as a revolving door for some of our favourite Australian artists – performing some all-time favourites, culminating in a joyous charivari - an amicable night of beer and ballyhoo. A no-holds-barred party that celebrated the fun side of music and booze!
