Live Concerts

  • Revitalised after their 2007 ‘indefinite hiatus’ The Early November return live at the Factory Theatre in Sydney on 28 February 2013.
  • Live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney. The Exploited is a punk rock band from the second wave of UK punk, formed in late 1979 or early 1980. Here they are livin' the dream in 2007.
  • Live at the Enmore Theatre, Sydney. Often tagged as garage-rock revivalists, the Fleshtones like to mix the fuzz-guitar and Farfisa organ sounds of that genre with rockabilly, ’50s and ’60s R&B, and surf into a potent retro stew the group likes to call “Super Rock.” Captured here in 2012 as part of the Hoodoo Gurus 30th anniversary ‘invitational’ Dig It Up, you can see why the Gurus have been long time fans - every show is a party and this one was no exception. The Fleshtones continue to record and perform with a wit, passion, and energy that few bands can top.
  • Live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney. Glen Hansard came to prominence in The Frames. He found crossover stardom with Marketa Irglova in the film Once and its associated soundtrack. This is one of our earliest shows and dates from 2007
  • Live at the Annandale Hotel, Sydney. Formed in New Jersey in 2006, and equal parts Springsteen, punk and NJ hardcore, these guys were on a tear when we captured them on their first visit to Australia in 2008 around the time of their classic breakthrough album ‘The ’59 Sound’ (rated by NME as No 47 in the list of best albums of 2008). Many of the songs from that album are featured here. Sadly no more it seems (after a brief reunion tour in 2018 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ‘The ’59 Sound’), this show delivers the burning passion that they were known for.
  • Live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney. Hailing from Kansas City, Missouri (why is Kansas City not in Kansas??), these guys were initially regarded as prime movers in the 90s ‘emo’ scene (a label they moved away from reasonably quickly as they developed a more distinctive alternative rock sound). They have been name checked as major influences by bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday with Pete Wentz of Fallout Boy putting it pretty starkly: “Fall Out Boy would not be a band if it were not for The Get Up Kids”. They broke up in 2005, but thankfully reunited a few years later and in 2010 started recording new music. This show from 2011 took place around the time of their second post-reformation release ‘There Are Rules’.
  • The Getaway Plan hit the scene running with their debut album in 2008 hitting number one on the ARIA charts. We were lucky enough to catch them as as they exploded, live at the Annandale Hotel 2008.
  • The Herd formed in 2001 after the core members of Elefant Traks record label decided to collaborate rather than submit individual tracks for a compilation. They retreated from the city for weekends and days off to record at a lakeside house on the Central Coast. What resulted was the self-titled album that featured the Triple J hit 'Scallops', a song that became an Aussie backyard anthem - and the rest as you could say is history. Check out The Herd live at Factory Theatre in Sydney on 14 June 2008.
  • Live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney. We captured these Swedish garage rockers in full flight during 2009. Stand back!
  • Live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney. There's some days we especially love shooting concerts and this was one of them - The Hives' sensational covers show from 2009. Led by their irrepressible front man Howlin' Pelle Almqvist, it's a fast, furious and deliriously fun show dedicated to the acts who've shaped The Hives' DNA. Featuring old school favourites from Billie Holiday, Mel Dorsey and Joy Ryder and Avis Davis to classics from Australian acts as diverse as The Saints and Flash and The Pan, the band pay tribute in their own riotous fashion. As Almqvist says: "This show is a pleasure for us and it sure is a pleasure for you too, right?" Too right!
  • Live at the Annandale Hotel, Sydney. Australian quartet the Jezabels shimmer with their anthemic, empowering approach to indie pop. Comprised of singer Hayley Mary, guitarist Samuel Lockwood, pianist/keyboardist Heather Shannon, and drummer Nik Kaloper, the group formed in 2007. We captured them early in their career in 2009. They're Moshcam favourites and we filmed them again in 2011 - coming soon!
  • The Aussie indie rock band formed in Sydney took the scene by storm from their 2007 inception. From charting EP’s and albums to ARIA successes to their indefinite hiatus in 2017, the Jezabels showed what indie rock should be like. Wanna see for yourself - check their 2011 gig right here on Moshcam!
  • For over sixty years, the Jolly Boys have been integral to the fabric of Port Antonio's musical landscape and cultural heritage. Masters of mento, one of Jamaica's original musics, this band has rocked innumerable private soirées, charmed the traveling elite and toured the world, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who has heard them. See them live at Sydney Festival: Spiegeltent in Sydney on 10 January 2012, exclusively on Moshcam.
  • Live at Riverstage, Brisbane. Brisbane natives, The Jungle Giants, blew away the Riverstage in early 2022 during a long overdue celebration of their 2021 release, Love Signs. Showcasing songs from that album (the title track of which finished high up in Triple J’s Hottest 100 for 2021), the show was non-stop energy and the audience responded in kind.
  • Live at the Metro Theatre, Sydney. We were lucky enough to capture this great English-American rock duo (American singer Alison Mosshart and British guitarist Jamie Hince) on a rare tour of Australia back in 2011. During this period, their music (certainly at this time) can be described as sparse lo-fi garage/blues. Often bracketed (unfairly we think) with bands like The White Stripes, they cite immediate influences such as Captain Beefheart, PJ Harvey, LCD Soundsystem, The Velvet Underground, The Fall, Patti Smith, Suicide and Royal Trux. Not your usual two piece rock band!
  • Live at the Enmore Theatre. These guys are Australian rock royalty, blending punk and rockabilly into a high energy mix, delivering “anthemic choruses and memorable songs in abundance” (thanks Ian McFarlane!). Formed in Melbourne in 1994 and led by the incomparable Chris Cheney, they rose to fame in the late 1990s after the release of their double A-side single, “Second Solution/Prisoner of Society” (the former is featured here). Their debut album rightly earned its place in the highly respected book “100 Best Australian Albums” and we caught this show in 2008 during one of their many subsequent career highs.
