The Living End

Live at the Enmore Theatre. These guys are Australian rock royalty, blending punk and rockabilly into a high energy mix, delivering “anthemic choruses and memorable songs in abundance” (thanks Ian McFarlane!). Formed in Melbourne in 1994 and led by the incomparable Chris Cheney, they rose to fame in the late 1990s after the release of their double A-side single, “Second Solution/Prisoner of Society” (the former is featured here). Their debut album rightly earned its place in the highly respected book “100 Best Australian Albums” and we caught this show in 2008 during one of their many subsequent career highs.
