Andy Golledge Band

Live at the Lansdowne Hotel, Sydney. In his own words “Andy Golledge is a livewire and a gentle soul, trapped in a 70s tuna fisherman’s body. He looks like your old man back in the day, sounds like Neil Young, with the energy of Springsteen, and a vulnerability all his own”. Couldn’t have summarised it any better ourselves! This Australian alt-country artist’s shows are amongst some of the funnest and most joyous shows we’ve ever witnessed, and we were thrilled when he agreed to be part of our World Stage project. Following the release of his debut album ‘Strength of a Queen’ in March 2022, he undertook a short tour culminating in this memorable sold out show in Sydney. Given the energy and love in the room, we think it’s highly unlikely you’ll ever see him at such close quarters again. Andy, we gotta take our shirt off to ya (and many audience members agreed!) – this one was a blinder. (Happy Trigger Warning. By the way, if the sight of a large part of the audience on stage with their shirts off just revelling in the sheer joy of the music is something which might offend, you might want to bail on this show before the encores! For the rest of you, turn it up and strip down!)
